Symptoms of Traumatic Brain Injury

If you sustain a head injury, take it seriously. Loss of consciousness, even if just for a second, requires an immediate visit to the doctor. Watch for the following symptoms:

• Headache
• Nausea, vomiting
• Slurred speech
• Restlessness
• Increased drowsiness
• Change in pupils
• Confusion about the time or date
• Memory loss
• Change in personality
• Depression
• Irritability
• Other emotional and behavioral problems
• Seizures

If any of these symptoms occur, see a doctor immediately.
